This is Bubba. Now, Bubba here landed himself in a little pickle a few weeks back. At 7 years old, and a terrier mix...he was busy protecting his castle, when he went a little too far..Bubby bit a visitor. Well, that's never good, and it's really not good when your pet isn't current on their rabies vaccination. (Only days overdue-no shaming) Either way, it's the law, there's no challenging this. The next steps are a 10 day hold, at their owner's cost. Long story short, to avoid consequences that would not be a good ending for Bubba, we took him in. (Again, no shaming this was hard for them!) It's been determined Bubba needs a home with not a lot of visitors and IF they do have say....deliveries come to his new home, they would know to put Mr. Bubby away so he isn't tempted to protect and defend his home that would result in any further trouble for him. Now, in the weeks we have had him, this 35 pound little old boy has (not surprisingly) stolen my heart. As you can see years back he experienced trauma to his eye, leaving him blind in it. This could very well be another reason for his actions as he potentially couldn't see and was surprised. This will always affect him this way, so another reason to just understand Bubba, and keep him out of these situations. He'd be ok with other dogs as he was previously with 2 others, and many cats! At 7 years old, he still is spunky. He's just scared here, but I have no doubt he will come out of his shell and show his true colors once he's cozy. Bubby doesn't seem to like walking on a leash as he was a free roaming farm boy, but he's figuring this out
